Peace and Light

Dearest Adi –
Thank you for being a loving husband to our good friend Ioana. Thank you for being a caring father to Stephanie. Thank you for being such a good friend to both of us.

Yesterday’s ash scattering memorial for Ioana was beautiful and touching. We both felt a sense of closure and peace after it. We woke up this morning and felt her presence in the sun and the rain that followed.

Ioana will always stay in our hearts and memories. She always delivered us from sadness and worries. She was a true Joan of Arc for any cause and idea she believed in. She decisively crusaded for her family, for vulnerable friends and for her outstanding ideas. Ioana’s life was lived in overdrive and her kindness, honesty and integrity spilled on to all who were close to her. Even in her last year she engaged fiercely in battle with life. And she won… she moved on to conquer the Universe!

Loss of a loved one is hard on the living. You lost your heart and it will take a long time to heal from this cruel agony. The grief will be unbearable. We all feel it though none as ample as you. We will always be here for you and try as much as we can to heal your pain.

Here’s to Ioana, in loving memory, a life well lived!
